What is CBD?
Cannabinol (CBD) is 1 of more than a 100 naturally occurring phytochemical compounds found in the genus cannabis plant.
CBD originates from the genus cannabis hemp plant it is sold in forms of hemp flowers, extracted oils and many other products that are all available on today's current market.
Unlike THC, CBD does not have any psychoactive properties that produce any kind of narcotic high.
Recent clinical studies have suggested that CBD has potential medical benefits. Although more research is yet to be to conducted in this area.
A recent UK government review looking at medicinal cannabis did apparently show conclusive evidence of a therapeutic benefit in certain conditions, i.e. chronic pain, nausea and vomiting after certain cancer treatments, and muscle spasticity in multiple sclerosis.
